Degree Programme in International Business, Querétaro (Mexico)
The International Business programme offers a great base for those wanting to build a career in global business. Students will acquire both generic and specialized skills needed in expert and managerial positions as well as entrepreneurs.
The programme give students the opportunity to develop their first business plan at Haaga-Helia’s StartUp School, improve their business skills working in a project focused on Customer Relationship Management or Supply Chain Management, and experience their first job abroad working in a multicultural team.
The programme is offered in collaboration with the University of Mondragón Mexicoin the vibrant university town of Querétaro, a 2-hour drive away from Mexico City. The partner university is part of the Mondragón Corporation, one of the 10 largest industrial groups in Spain with a presence in 41 countries and a network of international universities in the Basque Country, Mexico, Colombia and Saudi Arabia.
The partnership between Haaga-Helia and Mondragón Mexico gives undergraduate students a unique opportunity to earn a Finnish higher education degree while completing four years of studies in Mexico. No other Finnish university is currently offering this possibility in Latin America.
The programme, taught in English by an international staff, includes three study trips abroad. The students will have the chance to experience Finland, another Latin American country, as well as Spain (home to Corporación Mondragón) in their journey to become professionals in the field of International Business.

The student selection is carried out from two admission groups:
- Admission group 1: Entrance examination (Casting interview organised by University Mondragón México)
- Admission group 2: SAT scores (scores in required sections: Evidence based reading and writing and Math)
Tutkinto / todistus
Studying a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business earns graduates the Finnish title of Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), which equals 210 ECTS credits, and makes them eligible for studying an international Master’s Degree in any country in the world.
